People relieve stress in a lot of different ways… some sit quietly and meditate. Some go to the gym, either public or home, and work the stress out. Some internalize it until they explode. Then you have those that need to get it out. They need to express what is twisting their insides enuff to want to do it… these people simply need to rant. It is like dropping a weight that they are carrying… you can almost hear the exhale of breath and the sigh of relief when they are done. Most of the time, they don’t even want to talk about it, they just need someone sitting there to listen to what they HAVE to say. Some people like to use it as a conversation starter. I suppose it is how the rant is expressed if they want feedback or not.
Why’d I bring this up? Well, to rant myself, of course, but I also want to enable others to use this Vine as an outlet to vent and rant. I’ve come across a few people who have needed to let loose and simply don’t have anywhere to do it. Well, I’m making that playground. I’ll start it off.
I might tramp on a few toes with this one, but I am getting REAL tired of bad drivers. I will start off by admitting that I’m an aggressive driver. I have taken actual driving and racing classes, so I am very confident in my driving abilities. I know where my car is on the road up to a few inches. I can’t do stunt driving, but I’m not afraid of skidding or sliding either. There are 2 drivers that I’m going to concentrate on today… the “occupied” driver and “Magoo”.
I’ll start with Magoo drivers. You can probably guess from the cartoon reference what I’m getting at, but these are drivers that think they are the only ones on the road. They drive thru red lights and stop signs without a pause. They turn in front of you without so much as a signal or even considering that you’re about to plow into them. They almost all have the say trait… they never turn their heads until it is too late. A couple weeks ago, I had an amazing day… 4 Magoos in one day… one of them I had to throw my car into neutral while standing on my brakes to avoid plowing into their side. The last one drove out in front of me mere minutes from my house. All I wanted to do is make it home with my car in 1 piece. The sad thing… I work with a Magoo. She is a HORRIBLE driver. Runs reds thru major intersections… never turning her head! (I was in the turning lane and almost hit her… not expecting her to come across in front of me.) Turns left in front of people… runs stop signs… I followed her to work. I don’t know how she makes it every day.
Now, onto the worst drivers… “occupied” drivers. These are simply drivers whose full attention isn’t on driving. They are doing things like talking on their cells, texting, checking facebook, putting on makeup, reading, or… the one that I saw this morning… eating a bowl of cereal (something in a bowl). I’m sorry… eating out of a bowl in your car requires TWO hands, and to drive a car requires at least one hand and your friggin’ attention. This douche was rolling along, bowl in one hand… spoon in the other… leaning over the center console… eating. Hey, I don’t have a problem with eating and driving, as long as you can hold it in one hand and bring it to your face while your eyes stay on the road. Drinking without a straw… where you need to tilt your head back… not good. They are finally making driving and cell phone use illegal, so there is some realization finally. People will say that they aren’t distracted while on a cell, and I will say “bullshit”. I’m a trained driver and have driven while on a cell phone, and it took me less than a half mile to realize that my attention was not fully on driving. I found a site with some facts… (I know… you don’t usually support a rant… well, get over it… I’m thorough today. :D )…

*ssiiiggghhh* See… I feel much better now. Well, until I get in my car again… then all bets are off…
